Bio | Fyusha
Laura Ho, also known by the alias, fyusha, is a Vietnamese-American artist based in the SF Bay Area creating digital works that represent an entity she calls the “Child Spirit”. She names her art project “Fyusha” after the solitary hue absent from the visible spectrum of light — a fitting choice for her surreal, vibrant, and imaginative illustrations.
She has been actively sharing artwork in warehouses, galleries, and public spaces across the Bay Area since 2010, including San Francisco Public Library, Cone Shape Top, and ATA Gallery. In recent years, fyusha has evolved her art practice into digital projection territory, displaying her visuals alongside multidisciplinary dance artist Johnny Nguyen at Joe Goode Performance Group and Oakland-based experimental band, S'HELLS GATE. Her work has been part of collaborations with support from SF Arts Commission, CalArts Council, API Cultural Center, and Asian Improv Arts. She completed her Bachelor’s in Studio Art with an emphasis in painting and drawing from San Francisco State University.
